This is a special concert in which Boston jazz and improvising musicians are celebrating the life and music of Garrison Fewell. It will feature local musicians too many to mention here, but some highlights include Eric Hofbauer, Charlie Kohlhase, Luther Gray, and Curt Newton . The repertoire will cover the entire range of Garrison’s recorded music from his ’straight ahead’ years of “A Blue Deeper than the Blue” and ‘Red Door Number 11” to his group the Variable Density Sound Orchestra to the improv groups of his last few years
